The globalization era ushered in massive emigration by our country men. Today, overseas employment is every third Pakistani’s dream and also need. Overseas employment is the fastest growing industry in Pakistan with over five lakh people seeking overseas employment every year. For a country like Pakistan, this is a huge number which directly translates into our global presence in international arena. Today, countries like UAE and Saudi Arab are home to a large number of Pakistanis. This helps our country to decrease the employment burden on its economy as well as assures functional and happy homes due to smooth income. However, this process of overseas employment can also prove fatal and dangerous.
It is not a hidden fact that Pakistan has an ill-reputation when it comes to overseas employment through overseas employment corporations. It is often considered a business where companies promise what they cannot deliver, where people conceal or exaggerate the truth, and act only in self-interest with candidates. Direct Employment visa is acquired by overseas job seekers either by their own efforts or through their relatives / friends already working / residing in host countries.
The BEOE has many guidelines and a proper procedure which must be followed by every overseas manpower agency in Pakistan. In collaboration with international labour organization, many guidelines and rules are provided which must be adhered to by the Pakistan Overseas Employment agencies. An honest resume is one of them. Thus, you must make sure that your employment agency is registered with a valid license and has a well established reputation.
