How to go about it:
The process is actually pretty simple if you stick to the steps given below:
- First you need to keep the oven preheated to about 375 degrees.
- Next you need to round the bottoms of either two square pans of 9 inches or two round pans of the same size or you can use one pan large pan which of 10*16 inches.
- Then in a container pour the baking powder, the flour and then the salt. Mix them up properly b sifting it at least 3 times.
- In another container take the egg whites and beat them up. After that gradually start adding half of the total sugar and continue the beating. Continue the process until the mixture attains a good consistency which holds up in little peaks.
- The next step is to prepare the cream shortening. Add cream and one fourth of the sugar in it to form a desirable consistency. Keep on adding milk and flour to it and mixing it. Then proceed to add the meringue prepared with the egg white and the sugar.
- Now pour the mixture in the pans and bake for about 25 mins in the smaller ones, whereas for half an hour in the larger one. Add a filling of your choice in the layers which you can take suggestions from some anniversary cakes online and add some icing on the top if you want.
